Role Overview

The Director, Commercial Strategy & Revenue Performance serves as a strategic commercial partner to executive leadership, driving revenue intelligence, business performance, and enterprise-wide commercial initiatives across Four Seasons Yachts.

This leader translates complex financial and commercial data into actionable insights, identifies opportunities to accelerate revenue growth, and mobilizes cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, Technology, and Operations. The role owns weekly commercial reporting, executive business reviews, strategic presentations, and the disciplined execution of priority commercial projects.

The ideal candidate combines the analytical rigor of a management consultant with the commercial judgment of an experienced business leader. Demonstrated commercial impact, executive presence, and the ability to turn recommendations into results are more important than a particular consulting pedigree.

Key Responsibilities

1. Commercial Performance & Revenue Intelligence

  • Own the development and delivery of weekly commercial revenue reporting, presenting performance, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership.
  • Analyze revenue by booking channel, market, guest segment, suite category, voyage, booking window, and source; identify growth and conversion opportunities.
  • Partner with Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management to track performance against forecasts, budgets, and commercial targets.
  • Build clear KPI frameworks, dashboards, and recurring performance reviews that drive transparency and accountability.
  • Translate data, competitive intelligence, and customer behavior into specific, prioritized commercial recommendations.

2. Executive Advisory & Strategic Planning

  • Lead executive-level presentations, commercial business reviews, strategic planning materials, and Board-ready decks.
  • Synthesize complex analysis and stakeholder input into concise commercial narratives, decisions, and recommended actions.
  • Develop business cases, scenario analyses, and financial models to support investment, growth, and resource-allocation decisions.
  • Advise senior leaders on commercial trade-offs and ensure decisions have clear owners, milestones, and measurable outcomes.

3. Cross-Functional Commercial Leadership & Execution

  • Lead strategic commercial initiatives from definition through implementation across functional teams, often without direct reporting authority.
  • Establish workplans, governance, milestones, risks, and decision forums to accelerate execution.
  • Identify operational and organizational obstacles to revenue growth and work with functional leaders to resolve them.
  • Coordinate leadership follow-through, monitor progress, and escalate decisions or risks when necessary.

4. Revenue Growth & Commercial Optimization

  • Evaluate acquisition, conversion, sales productivity, booking patterns, and channel economics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Assess direct, trade, partnership, and marketing channel performance alongside commercial stakeholders.
  • Support annual commercial planning, forecasting, prioritization, and longer-term growth initiatives.
  • Monitor luxury hospitality and adjacent sector trends to identify relevant strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, revenue performance, business transformation, or commercial leadership.
  • Senior commercial, strategy, or revenue-focused experience within luxury hospitality, luxury e-commerce, travel, or a premium consumer business preferred.
  • Prior experience at a Big Four strategy/advisory practice or leading management consulting firm is an asset, not a requirement.
  • Demonstrated experience advising C-suite stakeholders, developing Board materials, and delivering cross-functional business outcomes.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional commercial acumen, financial analysis, structured problem-solving, and analytical storytelling.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with business intelligence and reporting tools.
  • Strong executive presence, clear communication, and ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Hands-on ownership, disciplined project leadership, intellectual curiosity, and sound judgment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Hospitality Management, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
