Position Purpose:

The Director of Marketing provides strategic and operational leadership for marketing efforts that advance the mission and enrollment objectives of Charis Bible College. This role is responsible for strengthening the college brand, increasing awareness among prospective students, and directing integrated marketing strategy, messaging, campaigns, and team execution. The Director partners closely with Enrollment, Recruitment, and other college departments to ensure marketing efforts effectively support student recruitment, engagement, and institutional priorities.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy aligned with the mission, brand, institutional priorities, and enrollment goals of Charis Bible College.
  • Translate college enrollment and institutional priorities into clear campaigns, communication plans, and audience-focused messaging for prospective students and other key audiences. 
  • Provide leadership, direction, and accountability for marketing staff, resources, projects, and external partners as applicable.
  • Steward Charis Bible College brand positioning, messaging, visual consistency, and quality standards across college marketing initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Enrollment and Recruitment to support prospective-student awareness, lead generation, engagement, and progression toward enrollment.
  • Use market research, audience insights, analytics, and campaign performance data to evaluate effectiveness and optimize strategy.
  • Oversee college marketing campaign planning, content priorities, cross-functional timelines, budgets, vendors, and resources to ensure coordinated execution and good stewardship.
  • Identify emerging marketing opportunities, channels, technologies, and trends that may strengthen reach and engagement. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong strategic marketing, brand-management, and campaign-planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate priorities into clear audience-focused messaging.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team development, project management, and prioritization abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use performance data and market insights to guide decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong judgment, creativity, collaboration, and commitment to high standards of quality and brand consistency.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively within a Christian higher-education and ministry environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive organizational information.
  • Must be able to effectively operate a Windows-based computer and navigate Microsoft Office Suite.
 

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required. A college degree in a related field is preferred.
  • A Charis Bible College graduate is preferred.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

  • Progressive experience in marketing, brand strategy, communications, digital marketing, or a related field, including experience leading teams or major initiatives.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
