We are currently seeking a talented individual to become a Director of Cage, Count & Credit. An individual could be successful if they possess the following.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Cage, Count & Credit provides strategic leadership and oversight of all Cage Operations, Count Room Operations, Credit, Collections, and Casino Cashiering functions. This position is responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and accountability of all cash handling processes while maintaining strict compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, Title 31/BSA requirements, and company policies.

The Director develops operational strategies that maximize efficiency, safeguard company assets, enhance guest service, and support financial performance while leading a high-performing team dedicated to operational excellence. The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Direct all daily operations of the Main Cage, Satellite Cages, Count Room, Vault, Casino Cashiering, and Credit Department.
  • Establish operational goals, service standards, and departmental performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that improve operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop department managers, supervisors, and Team Members.
  • Foster a culture centered on accountability, teamwork, guest service, integrity, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare staffing plans and schedules to meet operational demands while controlling labor costs.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming regulations, company internal controls, Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, and financial reporting standards.
  • Partner with Compliance, Surveillance, Security, Internal Audit, and Finance to protect company assets.
  • Assist with internal and external audits and regulatory examinations.
  • Maintain departmental SOPs and internal control documentation.
  • Ensure proper segregation of duties and adherence to all regulatory requirements
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.  Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise.  Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.    
  • Develop and manage departmental operating budgets.
  • Analyze financial reports and operational metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor labor expenses, departmental costs, and operational efficiencies.
  • Recommend capital improvements and technology enhancements.
  • Guides employees to maintain compliance with internal controls and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure soft currency is accounted for and recorded in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent gaming leadership experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive casino finance or cage operations experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a leadership role overseeing cage, count room, credit, or casino finance operations.
  • Multi-department leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in a casino resort environment strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of casino cage, vault, count room, and credit operations.
  • Thorough understanding of gaming regulations and internal control standards.
  • Strong knowledge of Title 31, AML, and Bank Secrecy Act compliance.
  • Experience with casino management systems such as Oasis 360, ACSC, CMP, IGT Advantage, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team development abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                     

This job will have supervisory responsibilities.

  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
