The Role

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a talented senior Defense industry professional to support the 85+ member Space Group as Director of Business Operations (DBO). The DBO will provide direct support to the Group Manager by working with the Operations’ Managers, Sector leadership, and group personnel to ensure program execution and strategic growth in the Group.

The DBO will directly support the Group Manager ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Group, including: improving operational management systems, processes and best practices; standing in for the Group Manager when absent; developing, implementing, and reviewing operational policies and procedures; maintaining the Group battle rhythm calendar; organizing data calls to completion; collaborating with managers and admin at all levels, ensuring action item tasking/tracking; collaborating with other Groups and business support functions; and supporting effective Group communication and employee-owner engagement.

The DBO is also responsible for sucessfully identifying, tracking and reporting of all strategic growth opportunities, including continuous updates to databases, reports, and briefings and leading bi-weekly status meetings. The DBO will manage pipeline opportunities pursuit and progress, moving them through approval stages by ensuring tasks are completed as necessary. These tasks include market analyses/assessments, opportunity identification and vetting, RFI/proposal development, capture planning, and gate reviews. The DBO may also travel to industry and customer events to represent corporate capabilities, establish strategic partnerships, and identify opportunities for pursuit.

This is a highly visible position - the candidate is responsible for communicating at all levels including customer, employee and executives.

Required Skills

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Strong communication skills

· Able to operate seamlessly in a team environment

· US citizenship with the ability to obtain a clearance

Required Experience

· At least 10 years of relevant experience

· Proven knowledge of DoD/DOW markets

· Proven track record in identification and capture of new programs

· Experience reading, interpreting, analyzing , and developing formal written responses to government requests for information/proposals

· Proposal management experience

Desired Qualifications

· DoD/DoW Acquisition experience

· Experience with business development for DoD/DoW Space customers

· Experience with Opportunity tracking using CRM or other capture tools

· Thorough understanding of financial aspects of proposal development including Cost Benefits Analysis, Return on Investment, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Time and Materials

· Experience integrating technical staff expertise into capture activities

· Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a higher clearance
