The Role

TextUs is the leading SMS engagement platform for sellers, recruiters, and marketers. We enhance pipeline creation and conversion rates by enabling users to engage in more meaningful, message-based conversations with consumers and candidates throughout their journey with the organization.

As the Director of Business Operations, you will lead the Business Operations team, focusing on information management, analytics, insights development, and process optimization across the company. Your primary emphasis will be on revenue enablement.

    • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity
    • Monitor and analyze operational metrics to ensure efficiency and quality in the texting environment.
    • Address operational bottlenecks to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.
    • Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Manage key processes specific to revenue support such as, quoting and ordering, contract and security reviews, SMB automation, Sales/AM rules of engagement (Customer Success)
    • Territory management
    • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to support operational needs.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
      • Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.
      • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
    • Oversee IS tool administration for business operations systems (Netsuite, Salesforce, Sigma, etc.).
    • Provide regular and ad hoc reporting for managed IS.
    • Develop and maintain global and local data architecture and taxonomies.
    • Provide regular and ad hoc analytics for supported IS, including:
      • Use case, industry, and deal size segmentation.
      • Predictive analytics for pipeline creation, quality, and win rate.
      • Predictive analytics for churn, upsell, and expansion.
      • Individual contributor performance measurement.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    • Proven experience in an operational leadership role, including revenue operations
    • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team
    • Strong stakeholder and project management skills to effectively influence and manage expectations with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
    • Strong listening skills; ability to understand the “why” and prioritize effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Expertise in business processes, information systems, and operational metrics.
    • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data and maintain complex spreadsheets.
    • Proficiency with business operations systems such as Netsuite, Salesforce, Sigma, etc.
    • A strategic mindset with a focus on finding scalable solutions through continuous improvement and innovation.
