Description

At Larson Capital Management LLC, we are seeking a Director, Alternative Investment Specialist to serve as LCM's embedded product expert and authoritative voice on alternative investment strategies across the firm's internal wealth advisor network. This is a high-visibility, relationship-driven role centered on enabling LCM's advisors to confidently understand, position, and recommend LCM's investment offerings to their clients.

The Director partners directly with advisor teams — sitting in on client meetings, leading educational sessions, and translating complex fund structures and investment strategies into clear, compelling narratives for both advisor and client audiences. While the primary mandate is advisor enablement, success in this role is ultimately measured by capital outcomes: deeper advisor engagement, increased product adoption, and higher allocation volume across LCM's growing suite of alternative investment offerings.

LCM's current product focus is private real estate, with active expansion into hedge funds and near-term plans to grow into private equity and venture capital. The ideal candidate brings deep private real estate expertise as a foundation, with the intellectual range and curiosity to grow alongside LCM's expanding alternatives platform.

Key Responsibilities

Advisor Enablement & Product Expertise

• Serve as LCM's embedded alternative investment subject matter expert within the internal advisor network, attending client-facing meetings as the product specialist and authoritative voice on LCM's strategies.

• Enable advisors to confidently position and recommend LCM's investment offerings by providing deep product knowledge, responsive support, and ongoing education.

• Develop trusted, high-value relationships with advisors across LCM's internal network to increase product engagement, adoption, and allocation volume.

• Identify opportunities to deepen advisor utilization of LCM's full product lineup as new strategies come to market.

• Gather and synthesize advisor feedback to inform product development, messaging strategy, and distribution priorities — serving as a direct line of intelligence between the advisor network and LCM leadership.

Product Education & Communication

• Translate complex alternative investment strategies, fund structures, and performance drivers into advisor-ready messaging and client-friendly narratives across asset classes.

• Develop and deliver educational content including investment strategy overviews, market updates, due diligence summaries, and risk considerations tailored to advisor and client audiences.

• Lead advisor training sessions, webinars, workshops, and in-person presentations on LCM products, fund mechanics, and broader alternative investment concepts.

• Support advisor onboarding to new investment offerings and platforms as LCM's product suite expands.

• Stay current on developments across private real estate, hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital to ensure LCM advisors have timely, accurate market context.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with LCM's investment, IR, compliance, operations, and marketing teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and compliant messaging across all advisor-facing materials.

• Coordinate advisor communications related to new fund offerings, performance updates, capital events, and strategic initiatives.

• Maintain organized records of advisor interactions, meeting notes, and pipeline activity in Salesforce CRM.

• Represent LCM at advisor meetings and company events; periodic travel required.

Requirements

Required

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred.

• 7–10 years of professional experience in financial services, investment management, wholesaling, or advisor distribution.

• Deep knowledge of private real estate investment strategies, fund structures, and capital markets fundamentals — this is the core foundation of the role.

• Prior experience across additional alternative asset classes (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital) strongly preferred, reflecting LCM's expanding product platform.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly and persuasively to advisor and client audiences.

• Experience in a product specialist, subject matter expert, or advisor-facing capacity — sitting in client or advisor meetings as the investment expert.

• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM or equivalent platform.

• Willingness to travel periodically to support advisor relationships and client meetings.

Preferred

• CAIA designation or active pursuit of CAIA or CFA.

• Experience at a private fund manager, alternative investment firm, or RIA serving HNW or institutional clients.

• Familiarity with Opportunity Zone funds, 1031 exchanges, or other tax-advantaged private placement structures.

• Experience with advisor onboarding and investment platform integrations.

Skills & Abilities

• Confident, credible presence in advisor and client meeting environments — able to command a room without overshadowing the advisor relationship.

• Strong command of alternative investment fundamentals across asset classes, with particular depth in private real estate.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills — able to simplify complex concepts without losing substance.

• Proactive and commercially minded, with a genuine orientation toward driving capital outcomes through advisor success.

• Collaborative by nature, with the ability to operate with autonomy and ownership in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple advisor relationships and competing priorities simultaneously.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; Salesforce CRM experience preferred.

Why This Role Matters

LCM's internal advisor network represents one of the firm's most significant and strategically important sources of capital. This role exists to close the gap between what LCM's investment team is building and what advisors are equipped to confidently bring to their clients. As LCM expands its alternatives platform beyond private real estate into hedge funds, private equity, and venture capital, the Director, Alternative Investment Specialist will play an increasingly central role in translating that growth into advisor confidence and capital deployment. This is a high-impact, high-visibility position with direct line of sight to AUM growth and a clear path to expanded responsibility as the platform scales.
