The Role

About the Team:

Dotdash Meredith’s Audience Relationship team creates and nurtures direct, meaningful, relationships between our brands and people. The team serves as a center of excellence for delivering audience conversion and retention strategy to Dotdash Meredith’s portfolio of 40+ iconic brands, and delivers engaging experiences and content to subscribers of our email, newsletter, SMS and notification programs. We are looking for a visionary and strategic leader and operator to join our team and propel our monetization efforts and subscriber LTV to new heights.

About the Role:

As the Director of Audience Relationship Revenues, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our monetization capabilities and maximizing LTV across all audience relationship channels. You will be directly responsible for spearheading strategies that grow program revenues and revenue per subscription, while leading a talented team focused on sweepstakes programs, custom email products for advertisers, and commerce initiatives. You will collaborate and work closely with stakeholders across the organization to create and deliver best-in-class experiences for subscribers and audiences that lead to revenue and LTV growth. This role requires a strong understanding of digital revenue streams, yield analysis, and growth strategies. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct and optimize our email, newsletter, SMS, and notification monetization efforts. Develop strategies that align with our long-term revenue goals.

  • Team Management: Lead, inspire, and mentor a team, fostering a positive and inclusive culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and high performance.

  • Data Analysis & Revenue Optimization: Collect and synthesize data across sources to build and deliver reporting that tracks email related revenues. Build revenue forecasts and LTV models. Assess revenue performance and LTV trends, identify growth opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance subscriber value and revenue per subscription. 

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with senior stakeholders across the Audience Relationship Team, ad product, revenue operations, and commerce team to develop and refine strategies, tactics and roadmaps that maximize subscriber LTV and value. Support process and workflow improvements that improve efficiency and collaboration. 

  • Program Optimization & Evolution: Maintain a sharp understanding of established and emerging industry monetization trends and integrate new techniques and technologies to deliver market-leading value for advertisers. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to execute test strategies that optimize and improve monetization and deliver a respectful ad experience to readers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven track record in digital monetization and CRM and LTV strategy with 8 years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.

  • Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a robust understanding of digital revenue streams, yield analysis, and growth strategies.

  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.

  • Innovation: A creative mindset with a history of implementing successful revenue-enhancing initiatives.

  • Disposition: A self-starter who is analytical, agile and curious
