The Director of Annual Giving provides leadership and strategic direction for Florida Tech’s annual giving and alumni participation efforts. Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy, this position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, multichannel annual giving program that increases donor participation and annual fund revenue while strengthening a culture of philanthropy across the university. The Director plays a critical role in donor acquisition, retention, and engagement; collaborates extensively with campus partners; and supports institutional campaign priorities through participation-focused fundraising initiatives.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead a comprehensive, multi-channel annual giving strategy—including direct mail, digital outreach, giving days, and volunteer-driven initiatives aligned with institutional goals to support a multi-year plan to increase donors and dollars for the Florida Tech Annual Fund.
  • Collaborate with Advancement Services to use donor data and analytics to assess program performance and identify opportunities and strategies for acquisition, retention, and upgrades before executing with a focus on building and strengthening giving and loyalty societies within a multi-year annual giving plan.
  • Provide leadership and coordination across campus partners to advance annual giving and participation goals and support a university-wide culture of philanthropy.
  • Lead the design and continuous enhancement of Giving Day initiatives, including 37 Hours of Giving and #GivingTuesday, etc. to increase donor participation through engaging, mission-aligned programming.
  • Create, manage, and schedule alumni-focused content across communications, publications, and digital platforms, including overseeing the alumni social media content calendar and coordinating with the university’s external communications calendar.
  • Develop alumni storytelling and editorial content, including alumni profiles (AlumNotes), Florida Tech Magazine coordination, liaison work with Marketing, and alumni-branded social media content creation and scheduling.
  • Other duties as assigned by VP of Philanthropy

Requirements Include:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience required in area of expertise.
  • Preference for degrees and/or comparable experience in journalism, english, marketing, or fundraising.
  • Strong writing skills and understanding of communication & fundraising best practices across multi-channel mediums.
  • Supervises work of staff, outside vendors or consultants.
  • Valid Florida driver's license.

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report

The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information, and imposes certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.

Florida Tech’s 2025 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.

The numbers provided include crime statistics that were reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.

The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures; descriptions of prevention and awareness programs; related university procedures and important guidance; and other essential safety information.

Official Transcripts

Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment.
