Digital Trading Manager
SharkNinja are looking for a Digital Trading Manager to join the E-Commerce Team, based in our European head office in London. Reporting to the Senior E-Commerce Manager, you will be accountable for digital sales performance in your category through development of the trade plan & merchandising strategy, whilst managing gross margin and forecast attainment.
Sales through our digital channels are a key part of our continued growth strategy and you will have the opportunity to develop a career in this market leading space. This role will be an integral part in our fast growing and progressive D2C department. The ideal candidate will bring solid trading and merchandising knowledge as well as a deep understanding of digital marketing, supply chain and online consumer shopping behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ownership of the trade plan and merchandising activities for the assigned category, supporting the Senior E-commerce Manager
  • Identifying trading risks & opportunities and communicating them to the wider business
  • Reporting on category digital sales performance, and taking action to deliver improvements
  • Overseeing planning and implementation of new product launches, digital promotional activity and pricing
  • Ensuring best in class digital content is presented across our D2C websites by liaising with the content team
  • Monitoring day-to-day website activity, considering the consumer journey
  • Managing the D2C forecasting process for new and existing product categories

What you will be doing:
  • Building relationships with stakeholders to develop effective trading plans for the D2C business and achieve key deliverables on focus initiatives
  • Managing forecast accuracy and inventory levels to ensure product availability through D2C sites
  • Reporting on sales performance, gross margin and forecast attainment in key product categories, analysing & presenting data and insights to stakeholders
  • Reviewing online content before go-live to ensure it's effective and managing detail-oriented optimisations to drive continuous improvements and maximise sales opportunities
  • Driving value-add activity to optimise sales metrics, increasing profitability and average selling price across the brand
  • Leading a cross functional virtual team, pulling together key stakeholders to build effective trading events

Your main KPIs:
  • Revenue and margin targets attainment for the assigned category
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Excess and obsolete inventory percentage

Skills & Experience:
  • Strong knowledge of the digital environment and consumer journey
  • 5 years+ experience in a similar role with experience in Digital Sales & commercial trading
  • Demonstrate initiative and ability to react to change in a fast-paced environment, working independently or as part of a team
  • Understand the digital shopping funnel and the key digital trading metrics across traffic, conversion, AOV and sales
  • Experience using E-Commerce platforms to set up and manage promotions
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, making active contributions to drive key objectives
  • Self-starter with effective time management and organisation skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and interpretation of commercial sales data
  • Proven experience in analytics platforms & online performance tools (e.g. Microsoft PowerBI, Google Analytics, ContentSquare, ...)
