This is a hands-on opportunity to dive into the world of cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and web traffic management, while earning a degree and building a career in tech.

We conduct £300m worth of transactions every week. Our website handles over 2 million transactions a month. We have more than 145,000 dedicated Asda colleagues ensuring that our customers are at the heart of everything we do.
To ensure we balance moments where we know we need to collaborate together and the need for flexibility, Asda has a hybrid way of working with a minimum 3 days a week in one of our Home Offices. Over and above this, each area of Asda may have additional requirements which may require spending more days in the office, visiting suppliers, stores or depots.

On the programme you’ll learn:
How Cloudflare protects and accelerates websites
Basics of web ingress (the gateway that manages how users access websites and applications), DNS (the system that translates website names into IP addresses), firewalls, and load balancing
Cybersecurity fundamentals and threat mitigation
Cloud engineering principles using modern tools and platforms
Real-world problem solving in a fast-paced tech environment
Shadow and support engineers managing Cloudflare configurations
Help monitor and troubleshoot web traffic and security events
Participate in team meetings and training sessions
Contribute to small projects with guidance from mentors
Ask lots of questions and grow your confidence in tech!
This 30-month apprenticeship leads to two nationally recognised qualifications:
BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions
Digital and Technology Solutions Level 6 Apprenticeship
In your first year, you’ll explore both Cloud Engineering and Cyber Security, giving you the chance to discover your strengths before choosing a specialisation. You’ll be supported throughout by your manager and mentors to help guide your development.

No formal experience needed, just a willingness to learn

If you are successful at each stage, you will progress to the next. This will include:
A short numerical assessment
Three, quick video interview questions
A half-day assessment centre, where you will meet the team and find out more about the programme.
If you are successful, we will ask you to come and join ASDA in December 2025.
