Job Description

The Digital Solution Architect works with the product owner team by providing business process alignment and technical support to craft a solution that is fit for purpose from a business perspective.
Work with other domain architects in the programme including cloud infrastructure, technology and domain specific architects. Monitors adherence to architectural standards for the development, deployment and management of application, information, communication and technology infrastructure

ROLE DETAILS

Digital Channels and Technology Management

  • Support digital channel management through use of front-end interactive technologies, encompassing usability, design, user interface, and device strategy. Facilitate an understanding of engagement metrics and provide regular performance analysis.

  • Drive the organization’s digital transformation efforts to digitize products and services, establish data-driven decision-making processes, and foster a robust data strategy that supports organizational objectives.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with the business’s goals.

Design and Conceptualization

  • Produce multiple concepts and prototypes to design digital products/services.

  • Oversee the digitalization of products, services, and customer interactions to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.

  • Identify and implement digital solutions to improve business processes and drive competitive advantage.

  • Design and implement a data strategy that fosters data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Customer Experiences Implementation & Mapping

  • Design and coordinate implementation of differentiating customer experience initiatives, tools, and processes.

  • Lead implementation and performance of techniques, such as voice of the customer initiatives, journey mapping, and qualitative touchpoint analysis, to identify customer pain points, challenges, and hurdles; advise on approaches to eliminate negative experiences and enhance customer interactions.

  • Assist in achieving brand positioning and contribute ideas to brand plans.

Improvement/Innovation

  • Identify shortcomings and suggest improvements to existing processes, systems, and procedures, then deliver a plan for a small element of a change management program with guidance from a project/program manager.

Data Collection and Analysis

  • Conduct research using primary data sources, and select information needed for the analysis of key themes and trends.

Customer Needs/Experience Research

  • Complete research and analyze data to develop and/or support a sound understanding of customer segments, trends, needs, and expectations.

  • Oversee data analytics efforts to gain actionable insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.

Personal Capability Building

  • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfil personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Product/Service Development

  • Deliver defined features, functionality, or outcomes from a designated part of the development/engineering program, selecting the best available approach within established systems.

Portfolio Management

  • Plan and deliver small projects or workstreams, using an appropriate project management methodology to give assurance that intended outcomes are achieved.

Data Management

  • Manage basic aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior colleagues. This includes being responsible for developing or operating basic elements of the data management systems to deliver prescribed outcomes.

Operational Compliance

  • Maintain and renew a deep knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, and ensure own work adheres to required standards. Or identify, within the team, patterns of noncompliance with the organization's policies and procedures and with relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct, taking appropriate action to report and resolve these and escalating issues as appropriate.

  • Establish data governance policies and practices, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2-3 years relevant work experience

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field

  • An understanding of technical concepts and systems architecture.

  • Experience working in a financial services organization, particularly insurance, would be an advantage.
