About the RoleMacmillan Education is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Digital Projects Lead to join our Digital Services team.
In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, delivery and reporting of digital projects and strategic initiatives across the business. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, cross-functional project teams, external service providers and business leaders to ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets and quality standards.
The role provides an opportunity to contribute to digital transformation and business improvement initiatives that support our strategic objectives and enhance the delivery of digital products and services.
We are looking for a highly organised and collaborative project professional who can manage multiple priorities, navigate complex stakeholder environments and use strong problem-solving skills to drive successful project outcomes.
Role Responsibilities- Plan, coordinate and manage digital projects and strategic initiatives across the business.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations, ensuring projects remain on track.
- Monitor project progress and provide accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders and business leaders.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, budget, quality standards and timelines.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate effective collaboration across departments.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies and resource constraints, developing appropriate mitigation plans.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements to support effective project delivery.
- Support the implementation of digital transformation and business improvement initiatives.
- Ensure appropriate project governance, documentation and reporting standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure successful delivery of project outcomes.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective project management processes and best practices.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Project Management or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience managing digital, technology, digital transformation or business improvement projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience engaging and managing cross-functional stakeholders and external service providers.
- Strong project planning, coordination and delivery management skills.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid approaches.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and demanding deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- A recognised project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, AgilePM, Scrum Master or equivalent.
- Experience working within digital services, educational technology (EdTech), publishing or other technology-driven environments.
- Experience using project management platforms such as Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Jira, Trello, Asana or similar tools.
- Experience with reporting and dashboard tools such as Power BI.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Planner and PowerPoint.
- A collaborative and customer-focused approach to stakeholder and project management.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to diverse, cross-functional teams.
