About the Role
Ogilvy NZ is seeking a Digital Senior Account Manager or Digital Project Manager to join the team.
You will be responsible for the overall day-to-day organisation and administration of the accounts, and for managing the successful delivery of projects. The role includes account/project management and client servicing of creative and digital accounts.
This includes coordinating the relevant project team, managing client expectations and communication, completing agreed-upon tasks, and liaising with relevant internal colleagues and delivery teams to ensure a high-quality work for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Proactively communicate project updates and address client concerns.
- Track and manage client satisfaction through regular client WIP meetings, project closure meetings and internal project meetings.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s brand and its competitive environment, so that the Agency is jointly driving the strategy and adding value to the relationship.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within new and existing client accounts.
Project Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of campaigns.
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Work collaboratively with internal colleagues to get things done on time, on budget and at the right quality, including peers across departments and disciplines.
- Create Statements of Work (SOW) determining roles and responsibilities, assigning tasks, creating schedules, meeting deadlines, arranging meetings, identification of risks and communicating goals.
- Manage projects via our Jira ticketing system.
- Identify project issues early, develop solutions and manage client positively through the issues.
- Management and communication of project scope to clients, and team members and management of change control processes.
- Management of one or more projects simultaneously, ensuring the overall success of each project.
- Delivery of timely, accurate and transparent project reporting to the clients. This may include the management and review of project team member timesheets and ensuring that the timesheets are accurate and in line with monthly maintenance and support reports that need to be developed and shared with clients.
Creative/Production:
- Approve/write creative briefs that are concise, and actionable and create a sense of direction and creative opportunity.
- Approve creative work that is on strategy and ensure work is effectively presented and executed to clients.
- Provide final account service approval on all production, print and any other product of the Agency’s work.
About You
- Experience as a Digital Account Manager or Digital Project Manager
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation abilities, including effective influence/persuasion skills.
- Negotiation skills and the ability to demonstrate confidence in negotiating costs with suppliers and clients.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a structured way.
- Ability to relate well to a variety of people and build productive relationships, while still introducing elements of fun and humour in the workplace.
- Ability to motivate other team members
- Ability to handle difficult situations with diplomacy and tact.
- Approach problem-solving in innovative ways to gain the best solution.
- Ability to be a good judge of creative work in terms of factual accuracy and relevance to brief.
- Be able to work across numerous clients and projects and can prioritise and successfully manage internal and client, timings and expectations.
- Have strong communication skills and the capability to effectively manage both client and internal relationships.
