About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Associate Director - Digital Programme Lead to drive digital strategy and delivery across large-scale infrastructure programmes. This role ensures that digital technologies, data-driven solutions, and innovative practices are embedded throughout the project lifecycle of client programmes and internal initiatives to improve efficiency and deliver outcomes in alignment with strategic goals. The role requires strong strategic leadership, collaboration, and technical expertise to ensure programmes deliver measurable benefits aligned with digital transformation requirements and industry standards. As a lead, this role will be responsible for growing and developing the digital programme capability within their designated area through the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Programme Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of digital programmes, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.

  • Define programme objectives, success criteria, and measurable outcomes aligned with organisational strategy.

  • Manage risks, dependencies, and interdependencies across multiple projects.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with senior leaders, project teams, and external partners to ensure alignment and buy-in.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for programme updates, providing clear communication and reporting to stakeholders

  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and feedback.

Team Management

  • Provide leadership and direction to project managers and cross-functional teams.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Support team development through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Strategic Planning and Delivery

  • Develop and maintain programme plans, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.

  • Monitor progress, track KPIs, and ensure delivery of agreed benefits.

  • Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to enhance programme outcomes.

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure programmes adhere to governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including risk registers, issue logs, and change control records.

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to capture lessons learned and inform future initiatives.

Here's What You'll Need:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in leading large-scale digital transformation programmes.

  • Experience of devising and managing project/programme budgets in excess of a million pounds

  • Strong knowledge of programme and project management methodologies

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Technical understanding of digital platforms, systems, and emerging technologies.

  • Experience in MOD, Construction, Nuclear, transport and Public Sector, industries.
