Key Objectives/Deliverables
IoT Platform Excellence:
• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade IoT ecosystems ensuring uptime, and scalable evolution to support manufacturing growth
• Design and implement comprehensive IoT solutions including edge device management, network topology optimization, real-time diagnostics, and zero-trust security frameworks
• Deployment of end-to-end mission-critical IoT platforms from proof-of-concept through production validation and ongoing lifecycle management
Cloud-Native Application Development:
• Design, develop, and deploy containerized applications on OpenShift platform using microservices architecture and GitOps methodologies
• Establish and enforce containerization best practices, automated CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code principles for rapid, reliable deployments
• Partner with cross-functional development teams to enable seamless application integration, automated testing, and continuous delivery workflows
Data Streaming & Integration:
• Implement high-throughput data ingestion pipelines using Apache Kafka, MQTT brokers, and Azure Event Hub to process manufacturing telemetry at scale
• Develop real-time analytics solutions that transform OT data streams into actionable insights for production optimization and predictive maintenance
• Ensure seamless OT/IT convergence through secure, compliant data bridges that maintain manufacturing system integrity
Basic Requirements
Manufacturing & Compliance Expertise:
• 5+ year manufacturing experience with deep knowledge of validation protocols, and manufacturing execution systems
• Proven track record development & implementing IoT solutions in regulated environments with understanding data integrity, and audit trail requirements
Technical Proficiency:
• Advanced understanding of MQTT protocol, Sparkplug B specification, and publish-subscribe messaging patterns for industrial IoT communications
• Proficiency in Python, C#, or Java with Azure IoT SDKs and experience building scalable, maintainable IoT applications
Platform & Infrastructure Skills:
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes including container orchestration, service mesh, and cluster management
• Strong background in microservices architecture, API design, and event-driven systems with focus on reliability and observability
• Experience with Apache Kafka ecosystem, stream processing frameworks, and real-time data pipeline optimization for high-volume manufacturing data
Integration & Security:
• Demonstrated experience bridging OT/IT systems while maintaining network segmentation and industrial cybersecurity best practices
• Knowledge of industrial protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus, Ethernet/IP) and their integration with cloud platforms
• Understanding of DevSecOps practices, infrastructure automation, and monitoring solutions for production environments
Education Requirements:
BE in Computer Science/IT, or Engineering (or equivalent work experience)
Other Information
Good to have Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience
Good to have GxP knowledge
Travel may be required to other Manufacturing sites in US and/or Europe
