The Role:
The Digital Media Strategist is an experienced leader that balances divergent, innovative thinking with practical, data-informed planning to establish and grow a strategy practice in our Digital Marketing department. They will collaborate regularly with other departments to develop media programs and will help develop internal plans for evolving the team’s capabilities.
Ideal candidates for this role will live in the St. Louis, MO or Dallas/Ft. Worth TX areas. Our St. Louis teams gather in person two or three days each week while team members from around the country travel in typically on a quarterly basis.
Key Areas of Responsibility
· Design media programs for new clients and annual planning for existing clients in partnership with insight, digital media, SEO and generative search, ad operations teams. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
· Identify, define, and size target audiences and markets
· Within the programs, establish SMART goals and associated KPIs
· Determine attribution method and data strategy
· Document strategic roadmap for deploying campaigns and technology to accomplish goals
· Conduct competitive analyses to support new business pitches and existing client strategic plans.
· Participate as an effective and dynamic presenter in new business pitches as a media subject matter expert.
· Partner with client services to identify organic growth opportunities with existing clients. Work closely with digital media and SEO and generative search teams to create strategic presentations to secure incremental revenue.
· Identify and evaluate new technology partners and innovations that will help evolve and advance client programs, in coordination with digital media and media operations leaders.
· Support Media Operations in auditing process workflow and media enablement, platform implementation, and digital architectures to deliver optimal program performance.
· Partner with media operations to ensure programs and campaigns remain in compliance with industry regulations and best practices for digital advertising, including data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
· Work closely with Ad Operations Manager during initial campaign set up to ensure conversion tracking, tag management, and report design aligns to client-approved program design.
· Participate in client marketing assessments and media audits in a supportive or lead role – depending on the source of the opportunity (strategy or media, respectively)
· Act as an expert resource for internal team consult on ad tech and data innovations, competitive disruption in healthcare and higher education, and digital strategy.
· Support departmental annual planning and recommendations to advance team effectiveness and capability.

· 7+ years of media planning/strategy experience.
· Familiarity with campaign management processes.
· Familiarity with Google AdWords, Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Manager and programmatic technology.
· Proficient with MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
