DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

  • Responsible for ensuring that the website and online marketing strategies and digital initiatives are implemented and tracked to perform with the utmost optimization, meeting the needs of departments, providers, patients, consumers, and the strategic goals of the organization.

SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the Executive System Director of Marketing & Communications

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Identifies, evaluates, and implements methods to maximize the effectiveness of the website, internet-based programs, and on-line marketing opportunities.
  • Manages 100% of the web ‘contact us’ forms, responding on behalf of the health system while using approved responses and pathways.
  • Manages the email database system generating content to target audiences, per current marketing campaign and/or specific outreach effort.
  • Performs market research to identify best-in-practice SEO strategies. Analyzes competitor SEO methods, along with key word performance, to help generate content for sustainable top page Google presence, using both organic and paid methods.
  • Pairs keywords placed on website to campaign materials, provider pages and digital service line promotions.
  • Utilizes the latest web technologies for organic SEO growth to maintain brand awareness.
  • Generates website updates daily with blog posts, copy, video placement, images, form generation and more.
  • Measures analytics and oversees the aspects of digital campaigns, offering performance improvement suggestions to Director.
  • Leads triennial website redesign/refresh process; updating full sitemap, page content, and image/media placements to ensure best user experience.
  • Works with a team assisting with internal and external marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas including, but not limited to, content development and optimization, advertising, event planning and participation.
  • Works with Marketing team to complete other office and community duties as required.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.
  • Four to five years of experience in a marketing related field. Knowledge of online marketing campaigns, search engine optimization and website management is preferred.
  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization is required. Experience with maintaining a website is preferred.
  • Solid computer skills including MS Office, web applications and preferred experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Data driven and detail oriented.
  • The ability to use content management systems, graphic and video conversion software is a plus.
  • Strong organization skills and time management capabilities.
  • Must be a self-starter with an outgoing personality. Able to work closely with a team.
  • Displays proficiency in proofreading.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communications skills..

Physical Demands/Work Environment

  • Work involves a variety of physical activities including sitting, standing, and walking.
  • The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds on occasion.
  • Must have normal hearing or utilize adaptive hearing devices.
  • Good vision and hearing are required as position requires frequent communication with personnel, patients, and community.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to spend hours looking at a computer monitor and typing.
  • The employee is frequently required to drive off-site to hospitals, community and business locations and events.
  • The employee frequently moves about the hospital and other businesses and may encounter any hazards present there.
