About the Opportunity:

The Digital Marketing Specialist plays a critical role in supporting WES’s evolving digital marketing strategy. This position reports to the Associate Direct, Digital and Partner Marketing and focuses on day-to-day execution, reporting, and project management across SEM, SEO, and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AI searchability initiatives. The Digital Marketing Specialist assists with high-impact projects such as webinars, conferences, podcast series, and e-commerce transformation.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and optimize SEM campaigns across Google Ads and other platforms.
  • Implement SEO best practices for website content and landing pages.
  • Support GEO and AI-driven search optimization strategies to improve global visibility and future-proof WES’s digital presence.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and prepare reports with actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with the content team to design and produce digital marketing assets for multiple channels (website, paid ads, social media).
  • Coordinate logistics, asset creation, and post-event reporting for applicant-facing webinars and major conferences.
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and execution of WES’s new podcast series, ensuring timely delivery and cross-team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on e-commerce transformation projects to align marketing strategies with new platform capabilities.
  • Review and help fix Google Tags in Google Tag Manager to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Executing, scheduling, and monitoring email campaigns to build engagement

Your Experience:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business management, or in a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a marketing specialist, or a similar role.
  • Proven SEO experience.
  • Strong understanding of SEM, SEO, GEO, and digital analytics tools (Google Ads, GA4, Tag Manager).
  • Experience in gathering and interpreting customer experience information.
  • Knowledge of online customer engagement platforms and channels.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a client-centered approach.
  • Great organizational and time management abilities with the ability to handle shifting workloads and priorities.
  • Experience reporting up and identifying trends or opportunities for process or improvement.
  • Ability to both think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Project work demonstrating understanding of digital user experience and technology platforms.
  • Advanced computer proficiency.
  • Proactive, self-starter who is comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrates adaptability when it comes to shifting priorities and change.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking driving campaigns, value propositions and managing multiple projects.
