Experience: 3–10 Years
What will you be doing in this role?- Key Role: Drive all aspects of digital design (RTL, DFT, Synthesis, STA, PnR, etc) for the complex mixed-signal products with highly integrated control and interface blocks.
- Development Strategy: Plan design development strategy to deliver an on-time product meeting high-performance, low power and low area goals.
- Architecture & Design: Defining the top-level architecture and micro-architecture for various digital sub-modules and designing them along with rest of the team.
- Leadership & Customer Focus: Interface with customer, engage in detail oriented technical discussions and status discussions, guide, mentor and build strong talents in the team.
- Full-Cycle Execution: Execute and manage on daily basis design activities and challenges related to both front-end design and back-end design.
- Pre-Silicon Support: Work closely with AMS and DMS verification functions and enable thorough verification of the chip and associated functions. Debugging and fixing the design with close collaboration with cross-domains DV and PD team.
- Post-Silicon Support: Supports the silicon validation activities, test program development and the customer engagement and silicon/application debug needs.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. system, analog design, physical design, layout, test, application, etc) for efficient and successful product development.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in IP-level and SoC-level Digital Design. Managing integration of complex digital designs, mixed-signal IPs in the chip.
- Core Competencies: Low power and area constraint mixed signal digital front-end design and methodologies. Front-end design of complex multi clock domain blocks.
- Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with worldwide cross-functional experts, customers and stakeholders.
- Clock & Reset Domain: Handling design architectures to take care of various CDC (Clock Domain Crossing) and RDC (Reset Domain Crossing) challenges, with the ability to debug and resolving related design issues.
- Additional Skills: Strong knowledge on static timing analysis, DFT and strong ability to debug the mixed-signal design problems.
- PMIC Design Exposure: High experience in doing PMIC related digital IP / chip design experience.
- Mixed-Signal Exposure: Basic knowledge or exposure to Mixed-Signal design and verification flow is an added advantage.
- Methodology Innovation: Ability to innovate and drive improved design methodologies and work with EDA teams to upgrade tools. Exposure to building AI-driven design methodologies.
