Digital Designer - San Jose, CA

Our members provide support services to school children by acting as para-educators, administrators, food service, bus drivers, nurses, and skilled employees in grounds, maintenance and operations. This position works at our headquarters office in San Jose, CA. CSEA offers an outstanding salary and 19 paid holidays, 3 weeks’ vacation to start and 5 weeks after 7 years, medical benefits for you and your family, life insurance coverage and a pension plan.
Examples of Duties:
- Design original artwork that enhances the CSEA brand
- Create page layouts for the Association magazine and attend press checks
- Edit and color correct digital images
- Develop video projects, such as mastering DVDs and creating motion graphics
- Assist with production of materials for our annual conference
- Collaborate with others to produce bold, compelling media projects
- Be an advocate and expert for evocative design that inspires users
The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Three years experience designing brilliant print, digital and/or user media
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects
- Positive, with perfect communication and customer service skills
- A strong design aesthetic with a sharp eye and intuitive perception
- Track record in producing cutting-edge designs while respecting our brand
- Ability to work and adapt to a fast paced environment
- Ability to imagine and create high-quality work on many projects with tight deadlines
- Self-confidence, flexibility, high initiative, attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of Apple Macintosh operating system and Final Cut Pro
- Bachelors degree in graphics or digital design or related field
The formal title for this position is Multimedia Design Specialist.
