The Digital Content Specialist is responsible for creating and managing online content to optimize Zurn Elkay’s digital platforms to enhance our web properties and brand presence, and drive sales. This role requires technical proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS), strong understanding of on-page SEO content of all varieties and a passion for UX continuous optimization/improvement. This position requires proactive cross-functional communication for initiatives across the Marketing, Sales and Brand teams, and requires very strong writing/editing skills.

Key Responsibilites

Digital Content Creation

  • Proactively seeks out weak/outdated/underdeveloped content areas on web properties and fortifies following brand, UX & SEO best practices
  • Assesses competitor digital content to inform our positioning and areas of opportunity
  • Authors new & optimizes existing website digital content inclusive of content pages across all web properties (landing pages, category pages, etc.) on through CMS (AEM)
  • Reviews website feedback and proactively advises on content to be created or improved upon
  • Partners with Digital Product Owner on content required to support new feature deployment
  • Partners with SEO Specialist for guidance on keywords and best practices for on-page content writing
  • Partners with Product Marketers for content ideas and nature/accuracy of written content
  • Partners with Channel team to disseminate completed work for amplification through channels
  • Partners closely with external SEO team for strategy on off-site SEO
  • Assists with being a brand ambassador to external partners and link exchanging/backlink acquisition
  • Spearheads continued development of “Help Center” sections on web properties

Federated Search

  • Primary Administrator of unified search platform
  • Works with business partners to establish appropriate product presence and sequence in search
  • Implements keyword and regional token strategies via search platform to ensure that products are accessible as possible

SEO & Web Analytics

  • Develop and monitor KPIs to understand performance and impact of onsite and offsite   digital content initiatives
  • Organic Traffic Growth YoY %
  • Domain Authority % and Ranking vs Competition
  • Backlink Growth
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to improve KPI's

Requirments

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in content creation, digital marketing, product marketing, social media, UX writing, and/or brand engagement, preferably for a national or global B2B brand.
  • Strong demonstrated writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience in content planning and audience segmentation.
  • Direct experience working with Content Management Systems (we use Adobe Experience Manager, but experience with other CMS will be sufficient)
  • Working knowledge of content performance tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, Lumar, Microsoft Clarity, etc.
  • Familiarity with A.I. as it relates to web content and web search is a major plus
  • Basic digitally optimized graphic design skills is a plus
