Position SummarySoutheast Arkansas College seeks a creative, strategic, and highly organized Digital Content & Communications Coordinator to lead the college's social media presence, digital storytelling, photography, videography, and content creation efforts. This position is responsible for developing engaging content that enhances the visibility of the college, strengthens community engagement, supports enrollment initiatives, and promotes student success. The Digital Content & Communications Coordinator will serve as the primary content creator for the institution and will work closely with academic departments, student services, and administration, to produce compelling digital content that showcases the SEARK experience. This position requires a strong storyteller with expertise in social media management, photography, videography, video editing, athletics communications, and website content management. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, maintain brand consistency, and produce high-quality content with exceptional attention to detail.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Management

  • Develop, implement, and manage social media content strategies across all college platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging channels.
  • Create and maintain content calendars that support institutional priorities, enrollment goals, student engagement, and community outreach.
  • Write, edit, schedule, and publish social media content that aligns with the college's brand and voice.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to inquiries as appropriate, and identify opportunities to increase audience growth and engagement.
  • Analyze social media performance and provide regular reporting and recommendations.
Content Creation & Digital Storytelling
  • Capture and edit professional-quality photography and video content for use across digital, print, and social media channels.
  • Produce short-form and long-form video content, including promotional videos, student success stories, event recaps, testimonials, and institutional campaigns.
  • Create graphics and visual assets using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and other creative platforms.
  • Assist with institutional marketing campaigns, public relations initiatives, advertising efforts, and special projects.
  • Maintain a digital asset library of photos, videos, and creative content.
Event Coverage 
  • Attend campus and community events, including some evenings and weekends, to capture real-time content.
  • Coordinate live event coverage through social media platforms when appropriate.
  • Produce post-event recaps and promotional materials.
Project Coordination
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, coaches, and community partners to gather content and support marketing initiatives.
  • Utilize project management tools to track assignments, deadlines, and campaign progress.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and transport photography and video equipment.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Sports Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in social media management, digital marketing, communications, content creation, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in photography, videography, and video editing.
  • Strong proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management platforms.
  • Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital channels.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in higher education, athletics, public relations, or nonprofit communications.
  • Experience managing athletic communications and sports-related content.
  • Experience with project management software such as Asana.
  • Knowledge of AP Style.
  • Experience with live event coverage and content production.
  • Basic graphic design and motion graphics experience.
