About the Role
The Business Analyst – Enterprise Applications is responsible for analyzing, defining, and supporting business processes and enterprise application solutions across Harman’s global digital landscape.
This role supports large scale enterprise ERP platforms such as SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, enabling business functions that include Global Trade Management, Order to Cash, Logistics, and other compliance driven or operational processes.
The Business Analyst works as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams to ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with standard enterprise application capabilities.
This position reports directly to the Digital Business System Manager and collaborates closely with cross functional business teams, ERP functional teams, IT integration partners, and external vendors to support enterprise application initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Analyze current state and future state business processes across enterprise ERP applications.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, regulatory considerations, and system challenges.
- Perform gap analysis to identify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements using standard business analysis techniques.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements aligned with supported capabilities of SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA.
- Support solution design decisions with a preference for configuration‑driven, standardized approaches.
- Define business scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Assist with defect analysis and validation to ensure business expectations are met.
- Support deployment readiness, stabilization, and post go live activities.
- Contribute to user documentation, training support, and adoption activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise applications.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role supporting enterprise ERP applications in a complex business environment.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA, with the ability to analyze business processes, troubleshoot application issues, and support ERP-related enhancements.
- Strong understanding of at least one core ERP process area such as Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Plant-to-Produce, or Global Trade Management.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams including business users, SAP functional teams, technical teams, integration teams, external vendors, and project leadership.
- Curiosity and willingness to explore, evaluate, and responsibly use AI technologies to improve business analysis, documentation, process optimization, testing, and enterprise application support activities.
- Experience supporting System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, defect triage.
