Summary/objective:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Digital Ad Buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research, developing effective advertising strategies, and implementing successful campaigns to reach our target audience. You will collaborate closely with marketing teams, clients, and advertising sales agents to ensure the delivery of impactful campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.

Essential functions

  • Conduct market research and analyze demographics, media usage, psychographics, and buying patterns to define the target audience and campaign requirements.
  • Develop and implement digital advertising strategies and campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
  • Source and present audience data and advertising proposals to clients for feedback.
  • Negotiate with advertising sales agents to ensure the most cost-effective deal structures.
  • Manage budgets and monitor campaign costs and ROI metrics.
  • Track and present campaign data such as views, click-through rates, engagements, and customer conversion rates.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify target audiences, market trends, and competitors to inform campaign strategies.
  • Identify and evaluate appropriate advertising channels and platforms based on campaign objectives, target audience, and budget.
  • Monitor and optimize campaign performance, including ad creative, targeting, bidding, and budget allocation, to maximize ROI and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform data analysis and generate regular reports to track campaign performance.
  • Conduct A/B testing and experiment with different ad formats, messaging, and targeting options to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with advertising platforms, vendors, and media partners to stay informed about industry updates, negotiate favorable terms, and access new advertising opportunities.
  • Provide insights and make recommendations for optimization.
  • Must attend and contribute to regularly scheduled staff meetings.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in the English language required.  Additional language proficiency is a plus.

  • A quick study, able to pick up new skills and learn how to use new programs.
  • Must participate in setting and achieving regularly scheduled and outlined objectives. 
  • Ability to take individual ownership, execute with high energy, share context, insist on candor with positive intent.

Required education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in advertising, marketing, communications, or similar.
  • Proven experience as an Ad Buyer, Media Buyer, or similar role.
  • Experience with Meta Ads Manager

Preferred education and experience

  • Experience with Google or YouTube Ads
  • Guild background strongly preferred.

Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.

Physical demands - Must be able to stand or sit at a desk for long periods of time. Must be able to see the difference between various colors, shades, shapes, and sizes. 

Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.

Travel required - Out-of-state travel is not anticipated for this position.

Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
