Analytical & Decision Sciences (ADS) Digital Acceleration Leader

The Analytical & Decision Sciences (ADS) Digital Acceleration Leader will help bridge measurement science, data, and emerging digital technologies to partner with businesses and unlock faster insights, smarter experimentation, and improved business outcomes across our global innovation organization.

This role is designed for an experienced scientist or engineer who is passionate about leveraging digital technologies, automation, and AI to solve complex technical challenges. Working across R&D, Application Development, Manufacturing Technology, and Product Stewardship & Regulatory organizations, you will help shape the future of data-enabled innovation while building lasting digital capability across DuPont.

You will play a key role in transforming scientific and analytical data into connected, reusable digital assets that accelerate discovery, improve decision-making, and increase the impact of scientific expertise. Success in this role requires technical curiosity, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to influence change across a highly matrixed organization.

What You'll Do

  • Transform measurement science and analytical data into structured, reusable digital assets that enable faster learning, stronger insights, and more effective decision-making across the innovation pipeline.
  • Lead efforts to connect laboratory measurements and scientific knowledge across ADS and business laboratories, unlocking value from both current and historical data.
  • Partner with R&D, Application Development, Manufacturing Technology, and Product Stewardship & Regulatory teams to identify opportunities where digital capabilities can accelerate product development, process optimization, and technical problem-solving.
  • Advance data-enabled measurement science by improving data quality, accessibility, interoperability, and usability across laboratories, sites, and businesses.
  • Leverage digital tools, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities to generate insights that accelerate scientific understanding, innovation, and business decision-making.
  • Identify, pilot, and scale AI-enabled solutions that enhance data interpretation, knowledge management, experimental planning, and scientific workflows.
  • Collaborate with IT, digital teams, laboratory automation resources, and scientific leaders to evaluate and deploy technologies that strengthen research and innovation capabilities.
  • Drive greater automation across measurement science workflows, including data acquisition, analysis, interpretation, reporting, and knowledge capture.
  • Serve as a catalyst for building digital and AI capability across the innovation organization through coaching, training, project leadership, and knowledge-sharing forums.
  • Navigate complex technical and organizational challenges, aligning stakeholders and influencing adoption of new tools, processes, and ways of working.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or another scientific or engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience applying digital technologies, automation, data-driven approaches, AI, or advanced analytics to solve scientific, engineering, manufacturing, or innovation challenges.
  • Proven ability to translate scientific and business needs into practical digital solutions that create measurable value.
  • Experience with LIMS, ELN platforms, connected laboratory technologies, scientific data systems, laboratory automation, or related digital research environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading and influencing cross-functional teams within a matrixed technical organization.
  • Strong learning agility and curiosity for emerging technologies, including AI, automation, advanced analytics, and digital science.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage scientists, engineers, business leaders, IT professionals, and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, establish direction, and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience advancing digital, automation, or AI capabilities within R&D, product development, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
  • Familiarity with scientific data management, knowledge management, data standards, and FAIR data principles.
  • Experience driving adoption of new technologies and building organizational capability through training, coaching, and change leadership.
  • Experience working at the intersection of scientific research, digital technology, and business strategy.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD)
  • Minimum of 10 years applying digital technologies, data science, automation, or structured data approaches in innovation, manufacturing, or technical service
  • Experience with LIMS, ELN platforms, connected laboratory technologies, or related scientific data systems
  • Experience with laboratory automation and automation workflows (method development, data acquisition, analysis, reporting)
  • Proven ability to translate scientific and business needs into practical data, automation, and digital solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams within a matrixed technical organization
  • Strong interest and agility with emerging technologies including AI/ML, automation, and advanced analytics
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging scientific, business, IT, and leadership audiences
  • Demonstrated success operating in ambiguous environments and delivering measurable business impact
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Ability to access export-controlled technology or obtain required export authorization as required by US regulations
