Responsibilities
  • Accurately processes information generated from patient, medical records, nursing and ancillary staff.
  • Correctly utilizes generated information in the identification, assessment and evaluation of the patient’s nutritional needs following ADA standards to meet the patient's nutritional requirements.
  • Makes recommendations to physicians, and health care team regarding the patient’s nutritional status.
  • Provides education to patient and family members.
  • Develops nutritional care policies and procedures.
  • Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements

    • Education: B.S. degree from an accredited college or university with a major in food, nutrition,or institutional management and any additional education as required by the American Dietetic Association
    • Certifications: Registered or Registration eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics. Must obtain registration within 6 months.
