Christ the King Manor is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Barista / Aide to join our team in creating a warm and welcoming café environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The Barista plays a key role in providing high-quality beverages and light food service while contributing to a positive and uplifting community experience.

Position - Full-time
5:45 am - 2:15pm
11:00 am - 7:00 pm
FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs various Barista and Kitchen duties including but not limited to the following:
Prepares food/drinks for staff/residents/visitors including but not limited to; special menu items planned with manager of dietary services and director of dietary services.
Maintain stock and complete inventory of items within Bistro .
Assists with purchasing inventory needed for Bistro.
Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
Packaging food and beverages for sale.
Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
Updating signage and displays to attract customers.
Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
Collaborate with supervisors and provide customer feedback and recommend new menu ideas.
Assists other co-workers in dietary department and kitchen as needed.
Assists with the preparation of food including main courses, salads, desserts and special diets under the guidance of the Cook.Prepares tables and other dietary areas for meals; clears tables in the main dining room as needed.
Serves meals to residents in the main dining room as needed.
Provides inspection of equipment and reports any maintenance needs.
Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes the workspace utilized to prepare food/drink items in the Bistro and kitchen as needed.
Wears protective clothing and devices when required and/or appropriate.
Attends all in-service training sessions as required. Adheres to all Christ the King Manor policies, procedures and regulations.

- Ability to perform all the essential functions of the position as stated in the job description.

- Strong commitment to customer service; Interacts positively with residents, co-workers and staff.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry things and to stand and move on your feet for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work every other weekend

Christ the King Manor is a non-profit Continuum of Care Retirement Community based in DuBois, Pennsylvania. The facility is dedicated to empowering residents to live full and dignified lives through the healing of Jesus Christ, providing a comprehensive range of senior services including home support, independent living (cottages and apartments), a personal care facility, and a skilled nursing facility.
