Position Title: Dietary Aide
Location: Napoleon - Main Campus
Hours: Part-time 1st shift; 5:15am-9:15am every Tuesday & Thursday, every other weekend and holiday.
Job Summary: To assist the cook in the preparation and service of nutritionally adequate meals and to maintain a sanitary environment in the food service and dining areas.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for regular and timely attendance as scheduled. Excessive absences, late arrivals and early outs will not be tolerated.
- Maintain equipment and food storage areas in a sanitary condition.
- To wash and sanitize all eating utensils, dinnerware and equipment used in meal preparation and dining by staff, residents, and visitors to the home.
- To follow specific cleaning schedule of kitchen equipment, cabinets, floors, and all other areas assigned.
- Assist cook as directed in preparation and serving of meals.
- Cooperate with other departments within the facility to ensure that the nutritional and dietary needs of residents are being met.
- Attend all departmental and facility required in-service meetings and/or Relias trainings. Attend all intradepartmental staff meetings.
- Work on scheduled days of week and at scheduled times and, when emergencies arise, if requested.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Must have good communication, comprehension and writing skills.
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Must have the ability to interact with others in a positive manner and maintain harmonious working relationships with facility staff.
- Must be in good physical condition and maintain a neat appearance.
