We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Dietary Aide to join our Dietary Services team. In this role, you will assist with meal preparation and service while helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and dining environment. Your work directly contributes to providing our residents with nutritious meals and a positive dining experience.
Schedule:
Full-Time (32 hours per week)
10:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Alternating weekends required
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with meal preparation, portioning, and serving according to menus and dietary guidelines.
- Deliver meals and provide friendly, respectful service to residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining room, and food service areas.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Assist with food storage, stocking, and inventory.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the Dietary team to provide excellent service.
- Treat residents, families, visitors, and coworkers with compassion, dignity, and respect.
- Support the mission and values of Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur through daily interactions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of food service or kitchen experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to comply with all state and federal regulations, including resident rights and food safety standards.
- A genuine desire to serve older adults with kindness, patience, and hospitality.
- Willingness to support the faith-based mission of Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur.
