Join our dynamic team at Meadowview Behavioral Hospital and make a difference as a Dietary Aide! In this role, you’ll support patient care by helping deliver nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. As part of our dietary team, you’ll assist with meal preparation, service, and kitchen operations—ensuring patients and staff receive high-quality dining experiences each day. If you’re dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-driven setting, we’d love to hear from you!
- Assist with preparing and assembling patient meal trays according to daily counts and menu requirements
- Set up and maintain salad and dessert bars with a neat, organized, and appealing presentation
- Prepare vegetables, salads, and other food items following portion control guidelines
- Ensure an adequate supply of beverages and meal-related items throughout service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room, kitchen, and food preparation areas
- Operate the dish machine and ensure the dish room remains clean and organized
- Assist the cook and kitchen team as needed during meal service
- Stock kitchen supplies and deliver items to units as required
- Follow all established sanitation, safety, and infection control guidelines
- Support a positive dining experience by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:
- Education: High school diploma.
- Experience: Must have a minimum of 1 year’s experience in food service, and have a basic knowledge of food service sanitation.

Compensation:
We are seeking full-time and part-time Dietary Aides. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour, depending on employment status, experience, qualifications, and skill level. Join us as our Dietary Aide!

What We Do
Meadowview Behavioral Hospital is a new, state-of-the-art behavioral health facility located in Peoria, Illinois. Operating as a joint venture between OSF HealthCare and US HealthVest, the hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care for individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance use disorders, filling a critical gap in regional mental health services for the surrounding community.
