Platform Engineer

Dark Wolf is seeking a Platform Engineer to support the developing and sustaining of a cloud-based platform that enables cyber operations across the Department of Defense (DoD). The successful candidates will coordinate and integrate work across legacy platforms. The team provides support to enhance and develop new applications, analytics, and services for the customer and to modernize capabilities through an agile, evolving requirement identification and prioritization process. This position will call for on site support a few days a week in Tampa, FL. Tasks may include assisting with: 

• Designing and deploying infrastructure solutions for the organization Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and other related technologies.
• Developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Monitoring and maintaining system security, including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
• Ensuring system performance and availability.
• Collaborating with other teams to develop and implement technical solutions.
• Automating repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Documenting infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Configuring, building, and deploying applications into a cloud environment (AWS, Jenkins, Git, Artifactory)

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT Security, Information Systems, or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in networking, operating systems, and server hardware
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies
• Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Solid understanding of source control systems (Git)
• US Citizenship and ability to be clearable up to the Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications:

• Industry certifications, such as CCNA, MCSE, or AWS, are a plus.
