M9 Solutions is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located in San Diego, CA. An active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop automated pipelines for data center/cloud environments and support automated build, test and release deployments.
- Design, write, and deliver Infrastructure as Code software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the network.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Cloud Native development.
- Build automated DevOps pipelines using tools like GitLab.
- Develop jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that constitute an application on a container-based environment such as Docker.
- Participate in the development of advanced CI/CD processes to support deployments.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions and build environments using Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Work extensively to deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters in an on-premises cloud environment.
- Automate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive consistency + repeatability.
- Actively participate in incident response and root-cause analysis, support a blameless post-mortems culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Bachelor of science degree in engineering/technical discipline.
- 6 – 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience using DevSecOps tools such as GitLab, GitOps, Bitbucket, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Fortify, Sonarqube, Chef/Ansible, Terraform, Nexus, Jenkins.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration/management tools.
- Understanding of AWS cloud services.
- Experience working with appropriate scripting languages and operating systems software (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with Agile development and issue tracking systems such as JIRA.
- Experience with UNIX and/or Linux.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor of science degree in computer science.
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance.
- Security+ 8570 certification.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- AWS or similar cloud provider experience.
- Solid understanding of Message Service NATS, Kafka, Redis.
- Strong Linux and Networking background.
- Software development experience with C++/Java.
