Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a professional, energetic DevSecOps Engineer who can develop and deploy applications within tactical edge environments and hardware. In this role, your knowledge of application integration and container orchestration will be put to the test as you collaborate with your teammates to make your customer’s requirements become reality.
What You'll Be Doing:
Convert customer requirements into total systems solutions that fit within the technical and schedule constraints of the program
Operate in an agile development environment using DevSecOps and CI/CD practices
Conduct and participate in design reviews, sprint demonstrations, and after-action reviews
Develop and integrate scalable software suites for user testing and evaluation
Write and execute comprehensive test procedures
Deploy applications into development/staging/production environments
Peer-review and comment on software code and write/review/update software design and user-focused documentation (e.g., User Manuals)
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. (A combination of education and demonstrable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.)
Minimum 2-5 years related professional experience
Proficiency with DevSecOps and CI/CD practices
Experience developing in a Linux environment such as RHEL and Ubuntu
Experience using scripting languages such as bash, sh, Node.js, JavaScript (TypeScript), and Python
Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Puppet
Experience with container-based systems such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with YAML and JSON formats
Knowledge of agile project management and related tools such as Jira and Confluence
Excellent testing skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have an active Agency TS/SCI
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
SAFe Agile training such as Agile Software Engineer, SAFe for Teams, or SAFe for Government
Experience with data parsers and data ingest methodologies
