Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate DevSecOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, operations, and security practices, focusing on integrating security into DevOps processes. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain secure and efficient development workflows. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring our software development and deployment pipelines' security, reliability, and efficiency. Work is hybrid with being on customer site in San Antonio, TX 25% of the time.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security measures into every stage of the software development lifecycle.

• Design, implement, and maintain secure DevOps processes and tools to automate security testing, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.

• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.

• Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct threat modeling, and implement proactive security measures.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, and ensure our systems are protected against emerging threats.

• Provide guidance and support to development teams on security best practices, secure coding techniques, and compliance requirements.

• Conduct security assessments and audits of infrastructure, applications, and third-party services.

• Participate in incident response activities, including investigations, forensics, and remediation.

• Continuously improve DevSecOps processes and tools to enhance security, reliability, and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• 5+ years of experience in software development, operations, or security roles, with a focus on DevOps and security.

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.

• Solid grasp of security best practices, standards, and frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST, CIS).

• Experience with DevOps tools and technologies such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Relevant certifications such as Certified DevOps Engineer (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar are a plus

CLEARANCE: Active Top Secret (TS-SCI) security clearance is required. Can also hold a CI and/or full-scope poly.
