Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a highly capable DevOps Unmanned Systems Integration Engineer to join our team supporting Naval Special Warfare (NSW). In this role, you will help deliver and sustain advanced tactical network capabilities by providing systems engineering, configuration management, maintenance, cybersecurity hardening, software integration, and technical liaison support. You will work at the intersection of DevOps, unmanned systems, mission software, and operational enablement to help ensure that critical capabilities are secure, interoperable, and ready for mission use.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Virtualization & Container Engineering: Deploy, configure, update, and maintain primary tactical tracking and mission management software suites, including Minotaur, Compass, and uADSI, within virtualized and containerized environments.
• Linux Systems Administration: Apply a strong understanding of Linux-based operating systems to deploy, navigate, optimize, secure, and troubleshoot virtual machines (VMs) and containerized applications.
• UxSAI Capability Integration: Support the integration and evaluation of emerging USSOCOM UxSAI (Unmanned Systems Autonomy and Interoperability) software and capabilities. Integrate evolving systems and middleware, including CHAOS (Collaborative Heterogeneous Autonomy Operating System), a systems-engineering middleware platform for distributed services, and WebTAK OASIS, to support mission requirements.
• Sensor Integration & Characterization: Serve as the technical liaison to designated industry partners during the characterization, calibration, and operational integration of NSW sensors into the Minotaur platform and other targeting software. Coordinate and oversee partner-executed calibration activities rather than performing hands-on technical adjustments.
• CI/CD, Testing, & Maintenance: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, configuration processes, and patch-management procedures. Conduct comprehensive pre-deployment testing to verify software stability, security, compliance, and interoperability.
• ATO, STIG, & Security Compliance: Partner with security managers and engineering teams to support hardware and software Authorization to Operate (ATO) requirements, implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and secure Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).
• Documentation & Operator Training: Author clear, repeatable technical standard operating procedures (SOPs), system baselines, troubleshooting guides, and quick-reference materials. Deliver technical training to operators on software interfaces, middleware, and the operation and navigation of underlying virtualized hosting environments.
• Technical Liaison: Serve as the technical point of contact for integration activities across NSW commands and headquarters. Coordinate with government, military, and industry stakeholders, and attend relevant conferences and technical events to track future capability upgrades and inform integration planning.

Required Clearance:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance.
• Must be willing and able to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or an equivalent technical or scientific discipline and 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, systems integration, or a related technical field.
• Virtualization & OS: Strong technical proficiency deploying, configuring, navigating, and troubleshooting VMs and containerized applications, such as Docker, Podman, or Kubernetes, on Linux-based operating systems.
• C4I Software Systems: Hands-on experience installing, configuring, updating, and troubleshooting Minotaur, Compass, and uADSI, or comparable mission-command, tactical-tracking, or C4I software systems.
• Emerging Tech & Middleware: Experience integrating emerging unmanned-systems, autonomy, or interoperability capabilities. Familiarity with UxSAI frameworks, CHAOS middleware, and WebTAK OASIS is highly desirable.
• Cybersecurity Compliance: Hands-on experience implementing software and hardware STIGs, supporting Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), and contributing to the DoD Authorization to Operate (ATO) process.
• Technical Instruction & Documentation: Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues to industry developers and government stakeholders, perform advanced troubleshooting and debugging, write repeatable SOPs and system baselines, and provide technical instruction to end users operating software in virtualized environments.
• Regular travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) is required to support training, conferences, testing, and coordination with NSW commands, headquarters, and industry partners.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience supporting Naval Special Warfare, USSOCOM, special operations forces, or other defense and national security mission environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, version-control systems, automated testing, or CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Familiarity with tactical networks, mission-command systems, sensor-to-shooter workflows, distributed systems, or unmanned and autonomous platforms.
• Experience with container orchestration, secure software supply chains, vulnerability management, or automated compliance documentation.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as Security+, Linux+, RHCSA, Kubernetes certifications, or other cybersecurity and systems-administration credentials.

Security Clearance Requirement:

An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.​

Salary Range: $103,500.00 - $181,100.00
