Job DescriptionYou will work in an Agile, test driven development environment, where the developers are required to code (primarily in java) as well as perform unit testing and work with test automation tools. This coding allows you to enhance application testing and allows you to build/extend test automation frameworks in java (based on open source automation frameworks).
You will be doing 70+% coding and 25-30% testing as part of the test strategy. You will get to work with emerging technology and open source technology to stay ahead of the development curve.
Java concepts that a candidate should be familiar with and have experience with: APIs (testing an API) Collection Methods Lists, Maps, Hash Maps Threadsafe Threading, Multi-threading Recurvise Functions, sort queries, new string array, new string object, Java main method / main method signature for java class.
Please note there are multiple openings with varying experience required.
Qualifications- Must be someone who is passionate about dev. Loves programming and the art of software design. Wants to make a difference on a team and it shows! And they should stand out for some reason (at least have some accomplishments they are proud of). Ideally some outside-of-work experience.
- Must be very solid technically and willing communicator – not just someone who wants to sit in the corner by themselves! Must be 100% sold on SCRUM.
- Java Dev Required: Java, Spring stack (hibernate, security, etc), Unit testing, Agile – and can show this in a discussion/interview.
- UI Dev Required: Angular or GWT, working with REST apis, experience with Ux, ideally some Java
- Nice to have skills: BPM/Activiti, Lucene, AWS Cloud - or something else along these lines.
- Bottom line: If it's on their resume, they should be able to talk about it.
- Experience: min 4+ years, does not have to be most senior.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required, Masters/PhD is preferred
- Experience with automated testing tools and technologies
- Excellent Java and SQL skills
