Job Overview
Branch launched in India in early 2019 and has seen rapid adoption and growth. As we expand, reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure is critical to support our data-driven products and services.
We are looking for talented interns to join our DevOps team and be part of this journey. As a DevOps Intern, you will work closely with senior engineers to automate infrastructure, improve deployment pipelines, and enhance monitoring and observability. This is a 4–6 month program, with potential conversion into a full-time offer based on performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for application and data services.
- Work with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for scaling and deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Support cloud operations across AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda) and/or GCP/Azure equivalents.
- Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Troubleshoot deployment, networking, and performance issues in staging and production.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and analysts to ensure smooth release cycles.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (e.g., OS, networking, scripting).
- Hands-on experience with Linux administration.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
- Nice-to-have: experience with monitoring/alerting tools (e.g., DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana).
