Job DescriptionWe’re looking for an AWS DevOps Engineer to join our growing cloud engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in automation-driven environments, building scalable infrastructure, and improving how software is delivered and operated.
You’ll play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing AWS-based platforms, while driving best practices across CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage AWS infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and security
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation
- Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
- Automate operational tasks using scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Monitor and maintain system health using logging and observability tools
- Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Collaborate with development teams to improve DevOps practices and deployment processes
- Implement cloud security controls and best practices
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.)
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
- Knowledge of containerisation (Docker; Kubernetes desirable)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, load balancing, VPCs)
Operations & Delivery
- Experience supporting production systems and troubleshooting issues
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Desirable
- Experience with Kubernetes (EKS)
- Exposure to DevOps best practices and GitOps
- AWS certifications (Associate level or above)
- Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
