About the role

Here’s your chance to help shape the future of digital at Bunnings. As we continue to grow our digital channels, we’re expanding our Core Platforms team — and we’re on the lookout for a DevOps Engineer who’s passionate about building scalable, secure and reliable platforms that make a real difference.

You’ll be part of a high-performing, down-to-earth team that’s driving change at pace. From cloud infrastructure to CI/CD pipelines, you’ll help us deliver the tools and environments that power our digital experiences. A million ways to make an impact — and this is one of them.

As A DevOps Engineer you will:
  • Design and build cloud-native infrastructure using Azure Kubernetes Services and Terraform, helping us scale with confidence.
  • Create self-service tools that empower our development teams to deploy and manage their apps with ease.
  • Support modern deployment strategies like Blue-Green, Canary and Feature Toggles to enable safe, fast releases.
  • Embed quality, security and performance checks into our CI/CD pipelines — making every release better than the last.
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools that keep teams informed and in control.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting across production and pre-production environments to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Maintain essential tooling for performance monitoring, log analysis, incident response and cost visibility.
  • Share your knowledge and help shape best practices across the broader Digital team.

You’ll be working with a team that values collaboration, continuous improvement and a good challenge. Inspiring you to give it a red hot go is more than just a saying — it’s how we work every day.

About You

You are someone who thrives on solving complex problems and making things better. You’re curious, collaborative, and always up for learning something new. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where your ideas are heard and your contributions matter.

You’ll be joining a team that supports each other, shares knowledge freely and celebrates wins together — big or small.

You will additionally need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps or software engineering role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and Kubernetes.
  • Proven ability to design and maintain secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
  • Familiarity with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration tools.
  • Comfortable working across both Linux and Windows environments.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (e.g. C#, JavaScript).
  • Exposure to Azure AI or API Management is a bonus, but not a must.

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.
