DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

We are looking for someone who is passionate and a big believer in automation, design review, code review, and best practices of DevOps, has an interest in cyber security and data protection, and wants to join our collaborative team as a Software Development Engineer - DevOps to help improve the high-quality of our product family. You will report to the Engineering Manager within the Consumer Endpoint Team
This is a Hybrid position located in Bangalore - India. You will be required to be onsite on an as-needed basis, typically 1 to 6 times a month. We are only considering candidates within a commutable distance to the locations and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the role:

• Build and manage multiple environments through automation and perform root cause analysis of issues, documentation & prevention with proactive alerts and monitoring.

• Sound working knowledge of cloud systems & compliance & security posture

• Expert in major AWS concepts such as AutoScaling, ELB, FSx, CodeDeploy, Account Management, SSO, Security Groups, S3, Lambda functions, API Gateway, CloudFront, Costing, CloudWatch, Route53, RDS, ECS, EKS, etc.

• Containers and Orchestration using Docker & Kubernetes

• Knowledge of major monitoring or APM tools, such as Instana, Ignite, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, etc.

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.

• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the overall operational stability of software applications and systems.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies

About You:

• 5 to 6 years’ experience in a DevOps Automation role; must have experience in IAC, such as Cloud Formation and Terraform.

• Should have experience with common debugging tools such as Fiddler, NetMon, PerfMon, and other tools needed to troubleshoot web server issues/code/config/network issues.

• Ability to design and support build deployment and configuration management systems for multi-tier applications using Jenkins/Harness/CodeDeploy. End-to-end implementation of projects using CI/CD—Orchestration/Pipeline

• Working knowledge in AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, PowerShell and Shell scripting.

• Ownership and taking initiatives with an automation mindset

• Nice to have development experience in .Net,Java
