We are currently recruiting a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria. An ideal candidate would be a results-oriented, highly motivated individual with solid experience in administering Linux environments and orchestration services.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of server infrastructure and propose changes to optimize stability and performance.
- Participate as a member of the Global Infrastructure team, tasked with defining and implementing cutting-edge technology solutions across the firm.
- Liaise with members of Security team on patch management and vulnerability mitigation exercises.
- Tune Monitoring and Logging platforms to increase the team’s awareness of potential issues before they become causes for outages.
- Participate in BCP testing exercises and recommend changes to increase efficiency.
- System-level tuning of Linux servers for optimal performance.
- Define and configure automatic backup procedures.
- Monitor the server infrastructure health and proactively respond to potential issues.
- Setup and support various development environments.
- Automate operational processes as needed, with accuracy and in compliance with our security requirements.
- Implement and maintain scheduled tasks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.
Requirements:
- Expert knowledge of Linux (Oracle Linux, Red Hat and CentOS).
- Experience as DevOps engineer (3+ years or more preferred).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Bitbucket and Argo CD).
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Ansible, and scripting languages including Bash and Python is a must.
- Experience with Nutanix, ESXi, or similar orchestration.
- Ability to automate repeatable tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or automation platforms Ansible, Terraform.
- Experience with monitoring systems like Zabbix, Grafana, ELK, OpsGenie, etc.
- Extensive experience troubleshooting highly involved system issues using application and system logs as well as system tools (netstat, tcpdump, wireshark, ps, etc).
- Up-to-date with the latest industry trends.
- Passion for delivering outside of the box solutions to complex problems.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
