About project:
We are looking for GitHub Migration Engineers to join a project delivered for an international leader in financial intelligence, analytics, and workflow solutions. The organization operates at the intersection of finance, data, and technology, supporting corporations, governments, and institutional investors with critical information and technology solutions.
This role is focused on a large-scale migration from Azure DevOps to GitHub. You will work on repository and CI/CD pipeline migrations across GitHub Enterprise Server and GitHub Enterprise Cloud environments, ensuring that repositories and workflows are migrated successfully, optimized, and fully operational.
This is a hands-on migration role that also requires strong collaboration skills. You will work directly with engineering teams to validate migrated workflows, troubleshoot issues, and help teams transition smoothly to the new GitHub-based development and delivery environment.
You will be:
- migrating Azure DevOps repositories to GitHub,
- migrating Azure DevOps pipelines to GitHub Actions workflows,
- supporting repository migrations between GitHub Enterprise Server and GitHub Enterprise Cloud,
- migrating and remediating GitHub Actions workflows,
- troubleshooting workflow failures and resolving migration-related issues,
- optimizing GitHub Actions workflows to ensure reliable and efficient CI/CD,
- validating migrated repositories and workflows together with engineering teams,
- working closely with development teams to identify and resolve technical issues,
- supporting teams during the transition from Azure DevOps to GitHub,
- contributing to GitHub repository administration and migration activities,
- documenting migration processes, issues, and solutions,
- ensuring migrated repositories and workflows follow established GitHub and CI/CD best practices,
- strong hands-on experience with Git and GitHub,
- practical experience with GitHub Actions and workflow development,
- proven experience migrating repositories to GitHub,
- experience working with GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) and/or GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC),
- experience with Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines,
- understanding of CI/CD concepts and modern software delivery practices,
