Description of Task to be Performed:
AnaVation is seeking a Sr DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, secure, and operate our DevSecOps platforms across multiple VPCs and enclaves—owning backups, patching, upgrades, developer workstations, monitoring, and overall security posture while deploying services on IaaS, administering Linux, and debugging cluster-based architectures in an agile, mission-driven environment.

Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

· Debug and optimize cluster-based/distributed computing architectures.
· Automate tasks and solve problems using scripting or basic programming (e.g., Bash/Python/PowerShell).
· Install, configure, and manage open-source monitoring and alerting tools.

This position requires a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a CI Poly.
This position is on-site in Washington DC with no remote option.

  • Track record serving as the primary O&M owner for multiple platform/tools.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and configuring services on an infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) provider (e.g., AWS/Azure).
  • Strong Linux administration skills for dynamic websites/applications (system hardening, services, networking).
  • Experience debugging and optimizing cluster-based/distributed architectures (containers/orchestration preferred).
  • Proficiency automating tasks with scripting or basic programming (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Practical experience installing, configuring, and managing open-source monitoring/alerting stacks (e.g., ELK/OpenSearch).
  • A current Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility and the ability to obtain a polygraph.
