- Job Description: Cloud Engineer (AWS, Terraform, DevOps) Role Overview Cloud Engineers with strong hands-on expertise in AWS and Terraform to support the migration of applications to AWS and ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of standardized cloud patterns. The ideal candidate will have good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, application deployment processes, and modern DevSecOps practices. Key Responsibilities Cloud Engineering & Migration • Lead and support migration of on-prem or cloud-native applications to AWS. • Design and implement scalable, secure, and reusable cloud patterns and best practices. • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, following modular and version‑controlled standards. Deployment Automation & CI/CD ○ Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools (GitHub Actions, AWS Code pipelines, AWS Code build etc.). ○ Implement Blue/Green and Rolling Deployment strategies for zero‑downtime releases. ○ Automate dependency updates and address security vulnerabilities. DevSecOps & Frameworks ○ Apply automated code refactoring and modernization ○ Integrate and enforce DevSecOps practices, security scans, and compliance checks within pipelines. ○ Collaborate with development teams to improve build, deployment, and operational efficiency. Operational Excellence ○ Contribute to cloud governance using tagging standards, cost optimization, security controls, and reliability best practices. ○ Create and maintain technical documentation for infrastructure components, deployment processes, and cloud patterns. ○ Work in agile teams and collaborate closely with developers, architects, and platform engineering teams. Required Skills & Experience ○ 3–8+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps roles. ○ Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including compute, networking, storage, IAM, and security. ○ Proficiency in Terraform, including writing reusable modules and managing state. ○ Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated builds, and deployment workflows. ○ Knowledge of modern deployment strategies like Blue/Green, Rolling, or Canary deployments. ○ Experience with Git-based workflows and version control best practices. Preferred Qualifications ○ AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.). ○ Knowledge of containerization ○ Knowledge of cloud security standards and compliance frameworks. ○ Exposure to SRE practices and observability tooling. Soft Skills ○ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. ○ Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. ○ Excellent communication and documentation abilities. ○ Passion for automation, continuous improvement, and modern engineering practices.
