Position Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Santa Monica, CA. Telecommuting Permitted.
Salary: $131,500
I: Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for building, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring infrastructure, utilizing
DevOps technologies. - Maintain and administer multiple products within our AWS cloud infrastructure by working
closely with the infrastructure and development groups. - Build, configure, and improve infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain infrastructure elements using configuration tools such as Ansible or puppet.
- Maintain and configure cloud containers.
- Maintain and administer MySQL database by working closely with the Lead Database
Administrator. - Mitigate potential vulnerabilities, harden systems and maintain compliance with HITRUST CSF
and PCI by working closely with the information security and compliance team. - Deliver DevOps assigned stories and tasks timely while ensuring quality and security of each
release.
II: Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field
III: Experience or Qualifications Required
- 5 years configuring, managing, and supporting Cloud resources.
IV: Special Skills Required
- AWS cloud experience (console and cli)
- Solid Linux knowledge
- Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (such as Ruby, Python, or Bash)
- Basic knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL)
- Experience working with containers
Tech Stack:
- AWS technologies
- Infrastructure as Code/Configuration Management (such as Terraform, Puppet, or Ansible)
- Monitoring/Observability (such as Datadog, Nagios, or Prometheus)
- Cloud-Aware Databases (such as MySQL or PostGREsql)
