Role objective

The DevOps Engineer contributes to the development and maintenance of efficient, scalable, and secure infrastructure and deployment processes at Vox Solutions. This role supports product development by implementing automation, improving CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring system reliability and performance. It requires a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous improvement and collaboration are key to success.

Reports to: DevOps Team Lead

Key interactions:

• Software Development Team – collaborate on infrastructure requirements, Kubernetes-based deployments, and CI/CD integration.
• QA Engineers – ensure infrastructure supports automated testing, ephemeral environments, and reliable test pipelines.
• IT Operations and Security Teams – coordinate on monitoring, security controls, access management, and incident response.
• Product Managers – align infrastructure initiatives with product roadmaps and release timelines.
• Customer Support / Technical Support Teams – assist with escalations, log analysis, and root cause investigations.
• Vendors / Cloud Service Providers – manage cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance and cost.
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and operate containerized infrastructure using Kubernetes to support high-availability and high-traffic environments.
• Manage Kubernetes application deployments using Helm charts and GitOps practices with Argo CD.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, enabling automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring repeatable and auditable infrastructure provisioning.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to support seamless integration across environments (dev, test, staging, production).
• Implement and operate monitoring, logging, and alerting stacks to ensure full observability, proactive issue detection, and fast incident response.
• Drive system reliability, performance tuning, and capacity planning, including failover and disaster recovery strategies.
• Enforce infrastructure security best practices, including secrets management, access controls, and vulnerability monitoring.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews, driving continuous improvement.
• Document infrastructure architectures, CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows, and operational runbooks.
• Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies that improve automation, reliability, security, and scalability.
• Ensure system availability, performance, and operational SLAs are consistently met or exceeded.

• Monitoring & Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager (and/or similar monitoring stacks)
• Logging: ELK / EFK stack, Loki, or equivalent
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar (depending on deployment environment)
• Version Control: Git
• Operating Systems: Linux
  

Skills:

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of DevOps and GitOps principles
• Experience operating production-grade Kubernetes environments
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, production-focused environment
• Good oral and written communication skills with fluency in English
• Understanding of the global telecommunications market is an advantage
• Knowledge of additional languages is a plus
  

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar role
• Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based platforms and CI/CD automation
