Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in BPCE SI (Solutions Informatiques). In this role, you will be responsible for application deployment and continuous integration processes, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of software in a cloud environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Application Deployment and Continuous Integration (DevOps / OpenShift):

    • Collaborate with team members to deploy applications and integrate continuous delivery processes.
    • Demonstrate expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications.
    • Master containerization concepts, including Docker, images, pods, and services.
    • Utilize CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI, while adhering to best DevOps practices.
    • Maintain a solid understanding of common programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) to assist in deployment processes.
    • Understand networking, security, and storage requirements within a cloud environment.
    • Manage application deliveries and associated technical documentation provided by vendors (primarily Cassiopae).
    • Adapt Jenkins continuous integration jobs in response to the evolving technical landscape of delivered components.
    • Prepare delivery packages using Git and Jenkins tools.
    • Install application components in the testing environment using automated deployment tools like XL Deploy and XL Release (Scope: UI, Batch processes, Database, Reports).
    • Prepare change request documentation for other technical teams (BPCE/Natixis Application Production and DBA) responsible for application deployments in Qualification and Production environments.
    • Monitor the execution of tasks related to qualification and production releases, providing technical support as needed.
  2. Batch Processing:

    • Write the DMOT (Batch Processing Implementation Document) for the application production team tasked with implementing jobs in the scheduling tool “CONTROL-M.”
    • Adapt encapsulation scripts for batch launches (ksh, cmd, etc.).

Qualifications

Hard Skills:

  • Proven experience with Kubernetes
  • Mastery of containerization concepts (Docker, images, pods, services)
  • Understanding of distributed technical architecture (Web) and client-server models
  • Experience with application servers (JBOSS, Tomcat)
  • Knowledge of Oracle 19c Exadata Database Management System (DBMS)
  • Proficiency in Unix and Windows scripting
  • (Preferred) Experience with batch schedulers such as Control-M
  • (Preferred) Familiarity with continuous integration tools: Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, XLDeploy, XLRelease
  • (Preferred) Experience with testing and acceptance tools: JIRA, XRAY
  • (Preferred) Knowledge of incident and change management tools: ServiceNow
  • (Preferred) Proficiency with collaborative tools: Confluence, Office 365 (including Teams)
  • Fluency in French

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and prioritize user requirements effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for effective incident management and minimizing operational impact.
