We are seeking a skilled software engineer with a strong background in automation and orchestration, along with a passion for enhancing developer experience, to join our DevOps group. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high degree of independence and exceptional performance capabilities. This role requires collaboration with a global team to support our Azure-hosted access control security products and platforms. The person in this position will work closely with the engineering team throughout all stages of product development, from design and architecture to deployment and production support. The contributions of this role will be vital in ensuring the highest levels of reliability, availability, and performance as demanded by our customers who rely on our advanced physical security solutions.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with global delivery teams on a rapidly evolving product
- Utilize and manage Jenkins + Kubernetes based infrastructure for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Design and maintain infrastructure as code to guarantee consistent and efficient continuous delivery across various environments for a SaaS solution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues across both development and production environments
- Relentlessly prioritize delivery speed and reliability to drive engineering efficiency across the team
- Develop tools to enhance the full development process from design to production.
- Leverage data and metrics to support decision making
Qualifications
MUST HAVE
- 5 years of software engineering experience
- Experience developing and maintaining applications on Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar cloud-based platforms
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Experience with Jenkins
- Experience developing or maintaining software in at least one language (JavaScript, C#, Python, Java etc.)
- Work experience with RESTful API endpoints to facilitate seamless data exchange and integration between various applications and services.
- Familiarity with shell scripting (Powershell, Bash, etc.)
- Understanding of Git or similar version management tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills
WE VALUE
- Experience with PowerShell, NodeJS, Kusto, or Groovy
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cosmos, Dynamo, Redis or similar)
- Knowledge of both serverless and container-based application deployment models.
