Job Summary

Synechron is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure and DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, virtualization, infrastructure automation, database management, and DevOps practices. The role focuses on designing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting cloud infrastructure and applications across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to implement cloud-based solutions, manage CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure and configuration processes, and support reliable, secure, and scalable technology environments. This position contributes to business objectives by improving cloud availability, operational efficiency, deployment consistency, application performance, and customer support outcomes.

Software Requirements

Required

• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, virtualization, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or related technology roles.

• Proficiency with cloud computing platforms, including:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.

• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure provisioning.

• Experience with Docker for application containerization.

• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

• Experience with Jenkins or comparable CI/CD automation tools.

• Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools, including Chef and Puppet.

• Knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.

• Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware and Hyper-V.

• Strong technical skills in cloud computing, virtualization, database management, automation, and infrastructure operations.

• Ability to design, implement, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain cloud infrastructure and applications.

Overall Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and applications across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and GCP.

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.

• Build, manage, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and comparable automation tools.

• Containerize applications using Docker and support deployments through Kubernetes.

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure, applications, Terraform configurations, Docker containers, Kubernetes deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and virtualized environments.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients through requirements discussions, solution design sessions, implementation planning, deployment reviews, troubleshooting calls, and operational handovers.

• Deliver infrastructure code, pipeline updates, deployment configurations, automation scripts, monitoring results, technical documentation, support records, and performance improvements.

• Make technical decisions within the assigned scope, troubleshoot cloud and infrastructure issues, prioritize operational risks, recommend improvements, and escalate dependencies or decisions requiring broader approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant professional experience may also be considered.

• 5+ years of experience in cloud computing, virtualization, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related areas.

• Certifications in cloud computing platforms, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, are preferred.

• Relevant training in AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, database management, virtualization, automation, security, and CI/CD is beneficial.

• Maintain continuous professional development in cloud platforms, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, automation, monitoring, security, cost management, and sustainable infrastructure practices.
