Job Description

Solidigm IT is looking for a skilled Development Tools Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the tools and infrastructure used by our development teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and a passion for optimizing workflows and improving developer productivity. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping our development processes and enabling our teams to deliver high-quality firmware efficiently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide technical support and training to development teams on the use of development tools and processes with first-hand knowledge of Artifactory, Quickbuild, GitHub and Bitbucket.

• Monitor and optimize tool performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
• First-Hand knowledge of expanding applications and infrastructure for full dev/Test/Prod environments and expanding the toolset globally for HA and low latency.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand their requirements and challenges.
• Design, develop, and maintain tools and automation scripts to streamline development workflows.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Configure and maintain development tools such as version control systems, issue tracking systems, and code review tools.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in development tools and technologies.
• The resources in this role will also be involved in architecting and building requirements for our monitoring that is integrated into our on-prem and cloud solutions.
• Assist in building Service Management Process for monitoring platforms covering day-to-day operations, incidents, change, SLA management and Capacity Management.
• Provide guidance and subject matter expertise in the area of architectural improvement to drive resiliency and scalability across multiple on-prem and cloud environments (Azure, etc) and SaaS vendors
• Participate in troubleshooting and recovery of complex internally and externally facing services in production, from low to critical impacts
• Serve as mentor and advisor to junior staff
• Directly collaborate with End Users, Command Center, Production Support teams and all product stakeholders to understand business requirements, help drive alignment, and build effective solutions.


QUALIFICATIONS: 
1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in the field of Information Technology; demonstrated capabilities in IT systems development, administration, technical troubleshooting, solving complex problems and experience providing technical leadership across a broad range of technologies
• Strong knowledge of O365 Tools ( Teams, Outlook, PPT, Word, XLS, SharePoint )

Working understanding of DevOps and Development concepts such as CI/CD, SDLC
• Possess an understanding of ITIL, with an emphasis on event management and incident management
• Ability to work effectively within a matrix global organization, aligning local IT leadership with the global IT functions.
• Ability to focus on delivering business value and translate potential technical solutions into realistic business cases and successful projects.
• Ability to interface and communicate with all levels of stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Ability to effectively manage changes both within IT and across the organization.
• Ability to coordinate the work and activities of others; ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize and organize work.
• Possess project management skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task activities within a high volume and fast-paced environment.


2) Minimum certifications/educational level:
• Proven experience as a Development Tools Engineer, Build Engineer, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Artifactory, GitLab CI, and Bitbucket.
• Proficiency in version control systems such as Git
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
